Mid-Century Modern Viking Art Glass Cigar Ashtray
Scarce mid-century modern Viking Art Glass glass ashtray in deep manly blue. Viking called this patented color ‘Bluenique’. Hand-made ashtray with fat cradle rests and deep bowl. Made for cigars but useful for other smokes. See it at Big Ashtray
Viking Art Glass was known as New Martinsville Glass (USA) before the 1940s. Thise eye-capturing beauty was probably made by New Martinsville.
The pattern is called “Three Foil”, Viking part no. 1102. It is at least 50 years old, could be up to 70 years old. Click here to learn more about New Martinsville/Viking glass.
Measures 6” x 6” x 6”, 2.75” tall - weighs 2 lbs. In excellent condition with heavy bottom-wear (caused by years of surface contact and expected in vintage glass). Hand-formed glass, no seams.
Great art deco style - impressive ashtray. Fabulous by the pool.
Mid-Century Murano Art Glass Cigar Bowl by Barbini
Beautiful, elegant, yet manly. Vintage art glass hand made in 1950s Murano by master Alfredo Barbini. A suitable ashtray for the sophisticated cigar smoker. See it at Big Ashtray.
Made with opaque white ‘lattimo’ glass rimmed in very dark red (looks black) encrusted with metallic ‘aventurine’. See image 3 for closeup view. The lattimo glass has wispy veils of gold aventurine which is hard to see in images.
Nice and deep with a wide V rest, floats the cigar well above the basin. Large, but not too large. Measures 6” long on three sides and 2.5” tall. Weighs just under 3 lbs.
In like-new condition.
Rare Mid-Century Modern Cambridge Glass Hambone Ashtray Set

Made of thick, luscious quality vintage glass. The beautiful glowing color was called “Mandarin Gold”. Cambridge catalogued part no. 1956/5. Named “Hambone” ashtrays.
Large enough for cigars. Three medium sized rests on each. Can double as catch-all, incense burners or candle holders, when not in ash service.
Measures 8” long, 5” at widest, 1.5” tall, weighs 1.5 lbs each. Offered as a set of two.
Pair of hand-blown Murano art glass ash bowls with trapped air bubbles in graduated plum amethyst to clear.
Made of quality vintage thick-walled glass. Fire polished rims with polished flat seats. Circa 1960s - 1970s. Both in excellent condition.
One bowl has 6 deep, wide rests suitable for cigars, the other has four rests suitable for smaller smokes. Both are great for pipe rests too. Deep bowls catch and retain debris. Both bowls double as catch-all, floral bowls, candle holders, etc. when not in ash service.
The cigar bowl measures 5” wide, 2.25” tall, and weighs 1 lb. The other ash bowl measures 4.5” wide, 3” tall and weighs 1 lb.

Big retro modern art glass ash bowl with slanted elliptic styling.
Hand-made by Viking Art Glass in the 1960’s to 1970’s. In excellent condition.
Heavy thick glass, weighs 3 lbs. Measures 4.25” tall, 5.6” wide, and 6” long. Larger than it looks, see image 5 with large peach to illustrate size. Has one deep tapered cradle rest, holds small smokes firmly, high above the well surface.
Base is stylized tripod form with bottom-wear on the three surface contacts. Bottom-wear indicates age, cannot be seen unless looked for, and is not considered damage.
Can double as a catch-all, candleholder, incense burner or flower bowl. Stunning on the end-table.

Modernist Vintage Murano Glass Black Cherry Ashtray
Beautiful hand-made ashtray bowl with large cradle rests that can accommodate any size cigar or smoke.
Triple cased with uniform dark cherry red, a thin layer of white, and intense black. This was made in the 1940s - 1950s. The black colored glass is actually very, very dark red. Vintage black glass was achieved by using intense reds or purples. The quality vintage glass is extra reflective and the images show a reflection of the light tent. The the outer onyx layer is solid deep space black. And the deep cherry red is solid also, the lighter areas in the images are reflections.

In great condition. One tiny bump near the rim, impossible to see unless studied closely, The glass is clean and without scratches. The polished flat base shows heavy bottom-wear (not considered damage). Bottom-wear is naturally occurring and reflects the age and weight of the glass

This beautiful 2lb heavy glass dish has wide flat ledges for resting all size smokes over a deep 1” bowl. Doubles as a catch-all, candleholder, incense burner, etc.
Makes perfect cigar bowl with many options for resting the cigar as it smokes down. Wide ledges also provide a good platform for paraphernalia.
Measures 7” long, 6” wide and 1.5” tall. Beautiful and rare color, called ‘Charcoal’ by Blenko, reflects hints of moss green in the light. Looks smoky black without backlight.
